Some Notes On The Craftspeople Working For Us.

The Craftspeople listed below all work in a radius of a few miles of Darfield. Their work is first class, approved quality from start to finish. Because they are local and producing hand made goods on a small scale, they are usually able to work to particular requests that a customer may have - size, colour, lettering, etc. Please ask, we and they, will always try to help.

 

Gerald Bradbury.     Supplier of honey and beeswax items.

Brian Lyons.                Calligrapher, hand made greeting cards for all occasions, keyrings, coasters, framed verses etc.

Paul Bates.                    Blacksmith producing architectural ironwork and small decorative crafts in iron.

Jean Mitchell.               Inspired brooches, pendants, bracelets and other jewellery in silver plate.

Elaine Hope.                   Decorative ceramics.

Kath Johnson.               Handmade cards for every occasion.

Terry Housely.              Jewellery cases, letter racks, pen holders, note boxes, etc. All in wood with coordinated colourful decoration.

Brian Gould.                   Turned decorative items in all sorts of wood.

Joyce Greensmith.        Hand made cards for every occasion in delicate parchment technique.

Richard Emerson.        "Red Rabbit Crafts". Producer of decorative mirrors in all sorts of coloured finishes.

Helen Rhodes.                  "Low Laithes Pottery." Producer of delightful bread crocks, bowls,chargers, dragons etc.

Derek Broadhurst.           Wooden toys, puzzles, and other items, many at pocket money prices.

M.T.Jones.                            Leaded glass lampshades and candle holders.

                Our shop also has for sale, small items in cross stitch produced by members of the Amenity Society, and a series of eight postcards featuring eight sketches of Darfield.

    We are open at present on Saturdays from 10.00am until noon; and Wednesdays from 1.00pm until 4.00pm. At these same times, the cafe-gallery is also open displaying a range of paintings by local artists, and serving teas, coffee, toasted teacakes, and a variety of cakes.

    These times will be extended from Easter 2002 to include Sundays from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
